BIOGRAPHY

Born in Izmir in 1971, Seray Öztürk is the granddaughter of a generation who migrated to these lands by population exchange from Greece.

Childhood and youth years were spent between Aegean cities Istanbul-Denizli and Izmir, and eating habits were shaped by the heritage she received from the traditions and roots of the Aegean lands. Her interest in the kitchen started during her university years, and over the years she felt the difference of being a mother of a girl and then a female chef in the sector. She shaped her own kitchen by using her admiration and love to these lands, food and drinking, she blends her food with these differences.

Since 2000, she has worked professionally as a chef and manager in many restaurants and food and beverage groups.

In 2013, she opened her own restaurant Naif and after serving as a manager/chef for 8 years, she decided to hand over Naif to have new experiences in 2021.

Seray Öztürk, who has managed to become one of the well-known names of the gastronomic world with her talent and own style since the 2000s, has been providing consultancy services for many restaurants and hotel brands known in different geographies of Turkey since the beginning of 2020, and continues her profession by making special menus and invitations within the scope of ‘guest chef’

In her kitchen, she especially cares about her own geography, Turkish Cuisine, Aegean roots, local and seasonal ingredients.
